We have started a new section called Brinsmead Biographies. As we receive or compile information on interesting individuals or families, living or dead, we will add a page devoted to their story.

We have added a preliminary copy of our entire Brinsmead family tree. You can search a list of names to see details of each individual, or see their relationships in traditional family tree format. Soon we hope to add photographs to the tree pages wherever they are available. The tree is privatized to protect the personal information of the living. Additions and corrections would be very welcome.

Karon Higgs wrote today to say:

It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of my beloved grandfather, Harold Brinsmead at the wonderful age of 93. He was a very proud Brinsmead, and information gleaned from you and other Brinsmead researchers gave him an immense amount of pleasure over the last few years.

Harold was the grandson of Thomas Edward Brinsmead and Mary Ann Stanley and the son of Alfred Ernest Brinsmead and Florence Elizabeth Smith.

Our sympathy to Karon and her family
