Probably the most famous Brinsmead descendant is John Brinsmead, the founder of the most successful of the Brinsmead piano businesses. 

John Brinsmead's life spanned the entire Victorian era, and his career reflects many of the era's qualities. He was a self made man, leaving rural Devon as a young man to find fortune in London. There, he rose to become one of  Britain's most prosperous piano manufacturers.
